We are looking for a volunteer administrator/grant writer. We work to empower young people and women from deprived areas of London to obtain social and economic mobility through mentoring, training, education and entrepreneurship.
We need support in securing funds from grants, corporate donors and online for our flagship project, iExcel Mentoring.
The project is supporting young Black boys and men facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
Sharing your skills with us as volunteer will help change young black lives, but we also hope that you will get great experience and opportunities to connect with a range of interesting people, project partners and funders. There are organisations with budgets who can pay their fundraisers, so if you are looking to change careers, and use your existing writing and project development skills to develop a fundraising specialism this is the role for you.
This could be suitable for someone who is retired who just wants to give back, or someone working part-time with time to spare for volunteering.
This person would be responsible for:
- Researching and identifying potential donors and keeping track of relevant funding opportunities.
- Leading the writing and reviewing of funding applications.
- Contributing to developing a fundraising strategy.
The person would be someone who wants to help actualise SFT Foundation’s vision of helping young Black people to reach their full potential and to achieve lifelong successes.
We are looking for 5-10 hours commitment per week for at least 6 months toward the position. The person can be based in our office in Islington or remotely anywhere in the UK.
If you’re interested please send your CV or expression of interest to info@sftfoundation.org or call us for a chat on 07809244756.
